Sustainability: Atlantia again included among highest rated global companies in FTSE4Good index

CET 15.31 Rome, 12 July 2022 - Atlantia has once again been included in the FTSE4Good Index Series, having been rated among the top 10% of companies in the “Industrial Goods and Services” segment. FTSE4Good is an international index, at the forefront of innovation in ESG indexing for nearly two decades, that uses transparent, uniform metrics to assess the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performances of more than 7,000 businesses worldwide. Again with regard to sustainability, Atlantia’s inclusion in the MIB ESG following the index’s half-year review has also been confirmed. This index includes the 40 Italian listed companies with the strongest commitment to taking concrete, measurable steps to embed social and environment sustainability and good governance practices in their businesses and throughout their value chains. Atlantia is committed to driving the creation of a new form of mobility centred around people’s needs and capable of have a positive social, environmental and economic impact. ESG principles are embedded in the business models of the businesses in which Atlantia invests on a long-term basis. We give priority to innovative solutions and technologies able to generate shared value for the benefit of shareholders, local communities and the Group’s over 23.000 employees. The Holding Company was also included in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index for the first time in 2022 and saw its ESG rating, as measured by Sustainalytics, upgraded twice in a six-month period. In April 2022, Atlantia became the first Italian listed company, and one of few around the world, to give shareholders a say on its plan to decarbonise its operations and to cut CO2 emissions. Over 98% of shareholders approved the plan.
