Modular SeaStar TLP hull is economical to fabricate

Scalable SeaStar TLP hull

With its symmetrical geometry, modularity, repetitive subassemblies, and stiffened plate construction, a SeaStar TLP hull can be built in almost any fabrication facility or shipyard. This flexibility broadens the competitive bidding process and can be crucial when time is a factor.

No matter how large a SeaStar TLP hull is, it has the same easy-to-fabricate component modules and the same fabrication sequence as all other SeaStar TLPs. This is a function of the true scalability of the SeaStar concept and it is the primary reason SeaStar TLP hulls are economical and can be built on fast-track schedules. The hull for Matterhorn, the first to be built overseas, was completed by Singapore's Kepel Fels in only 12 months.
