SeaStar TLP Installation without an Offshore Lift

For areas where the cost of a derrick barge is prohibitive, Atlantia has developed an installation method that eliminates the offshore heavy lift. The topsides and TLP hull are mated at dockside, where all systems are commissioned and any difficulty can be quickly and economically resolved. The complete structure is then dry or wet towed to location and connected to pre-installed tendons in an operation that takes about a day, requires no costly derrick barge, and virtually eliminates the risk of expensive weather delays during the installation phase.
